Nicotine-Free School Policies

With the rise of e-cigarettes and vaping among youth, our recommendations include assessing/updating school policies to include prohibiting all tobacco/nicotine products (e-cigarettes, vape pens). Since nicotine is addicting, we encourage alternatives to suspension as consequences and can assist with providing training to implement prevention/cessation programs for youth.

• Assessment tool for reviewing current school policy
• Recommendations for promotion and enforcement of updated policies
• Tobacco prevention and alternatives to suspension programs
