Be An Advocate
Protect yourself and loved ones from preventable diseases caused by tobacco use. Advocacy and communication on health and economic effects of tobacco are crucial to engage and empower the public, especially youth, and to inform and educate policy makers and other stakeholders on solutions to the global tobacco epidemic.
STAR Accreditation
Smoking Treatment Accreditation & Recognition (STAR) is a tobacco dependence treatment accreditation program funded through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and managed by Health Promotion Council, in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania.
Youth Prevention
Youth use of tobacco products in any form is unsafe, regardless of whether it is smoked, smokeless, or electronic. If smoking continues at current rates, 5.6 million—or 1 out of every 13—of today’s children will ultimately die prematurely from a smoking-related illness.
